This Rallye is open to cars that are 1974 or older and offers you a scenic tour that takes you to: ▸ Zion National Park, with precipitous canyon walls and massive stone monoliths ▸ Bryce Canyon National Park, where erosive forces have created thousands of spires, pillars and rocky temples ▸ Arches National Park, nowhere else in the world will you see a greater number of natural rock arches and extraordinary formations ▸ Capitol Reef National Park with it's rock domes ▸ Canyonlands National Park, the power of the river that over millions of years has cut through solid rock to form deep meandering 'goosenecks' as far as the eye can see
You will experience canyons, mesas, winding rivers, mountain ranges, Native American ruins, vast expanses of open space, lands so exceptional that they are protected for the enjoyment, education, and recreation of people today and for generations to come. As a previous participant has exclaimed, "One runs out of superlatives to describe the scenery!"
Because of the remote location of the area only 20 cars will be accepted for the Red Rock Rallye.

September 20th we rally to Moab, Utah through beautiful mountain roads that take us to the breathtaking land of Arches National Park. We will travel along the Colorado River to Red Cliff's Lodge, just 15 miles east of Moab. Our stay there is both relaxing and exquisite as the views from each room borders the Colorado River and you are encompassed by rocky cliffs.
We are now in the land of the 'Cowboys'! So we shall eat like the 'cowboys', though in better surroundings!
Next day, September 21st is a free day. There is plenty to do. You can stay at Red Cliff's and go horse back riding, float down the river on a raft or go to Arches National Park and drive through or hike to rocky arches (our favorite is Delicate Arch, which is where we get our logo!). Also, close by is Canyonlands National Park and Deadhorse Point. We feel Deadhorse Point is a must to see. Downtown Moab is a fun shopping place, too.
Then back to Red Cliff's for dinner. As a note of interest - Many Western Movies have been filmed right on the spot we are staying. Even a scene from Austin Powers was filmed there. Located right in the Lodge is a Western Movie Museum that you may want to visit. It is incredible!
Red Cliff's Lodge grow their own grapes and make their own wine.

Bright and early on September 22nd the Rallye travels out of Red Cliff's Lodge up and over high mountain trail with a view of Aspen trees on one side and rocky formations in the distance on the other. Then traveling roads with stony formations all around you, up a winding switchback path, past the ever declining Lake Powell, through the domes of Capitol Reef National Park and back into life as it must have been at the famous 'Ponderosa', at the Lodge at Red River Ranch.
Each room has it's own personality! There are only 15 rooms available at the Lodge at Red River Ranch. Other high quality lodging is nearby. The earlier your final payment is received the more likely you will be accommodated at the Lodge.

Leaving the Lodge at Red River September 23rd takes us over Boulder Mountain with Aspen trees changing colors and breathtaking mountain views. On the other side we once again come into the red rocks, to the inspiring formations in Bryce Canyon and down into the majestic Zion National Park.
We travel on further into St. George, Utah to the Inn at Entrada, where each casita has it's own personal garage.
Dinner at the Inn that night. The next morning, September 24th, you are free to explore. Zion National Park is about 45 minutes away. Or you may wish to stay at the Inn and golf at the award winning course. Downtown St. George is also a fun place to shop!
The morning of September 25th we take our journey back to Salt Lake City. More mountainous trails as we rally to the Residence Inn by Marriott and dinner at a near-by restaurant.
